Protecting Your Passwords

I just read an interesting and informative blog post by Tom Ogden from The Ogden Group.  It was about the proper way to protect your passwords that you use every day in business and in your personal life. Here are Tom’s suggestions…

  • Make the password at least 8 characters long
  • Include a mix of letters and numbers
  • Include at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter
  • Include at least one character that isn’t a number or a letter, such as punctuation

Good information from a risk management standpoint. How are you doing with protecting your passwords? Thanks to Tom Ogden for allowing me to pass this information along. If you want to read his entire article, click here.
